A project from the Spring of 2007 in the Art department of the UC Santa Cruz campus. Due to bureaucratic restrictions of applying any sort of paint or marking to the walls of the Art department, i was forced to abide by the contours of red tape (duct and gaffer combined).

Zoological Capitalism takes place in the lifespan of this tree. We are looking at a modern mechanism feeding off of itself in order to survive.
But as the weight shifts disproportionately, the mechanism succumbs to turmoil destroying everything in its path.
The offshoots of this environment can be seen as genetic mutations. They are a bacteria known as the Lumberjacks. Born in blasphemy, this collective of human-animal hybrids serve as transitory elements bringing life from one stage of the tree to the next.
